Welcome to our new and improved website please explore the site and take a look at the children's work and class pages. There are many interactive games and resources through out the site for both parents, carers and pupils to take advantage of. Please take a look around our parent's zone that will provide you with information about your children's school day and details of clubs etc. The parent zone will also provide you with information on opportunities for yourselves within the community. Staff and children at Bank Leaze understand their position within the community and celebrate this through our community page.
We were very excited to celebrate the opening of the new school library on Tuesday. Along with lots of lovely new books, shelving and reading rugs, the library wall features murals by the Bristol artist Sonya Nutter, including illustrations of the Gruffalo and Aslan from the "Chronicles of Narnia".
We were thrilled to receive several donations in particular a £1500 grant from the Worshipful Company of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales to create the library.A big thank you to Mrs Bonham for opening the library on behalf of her husband. With the closure of the community library we felt it was more vital than ever that our school library should meet the literary needs of the children at our school. | Pirates take over Bank Leaze
This year for World Book Day Bank Leaze had an extra special guest to share World Book Day with. The whole school was lucky to have a visit from author Jack Trelawny who shared an extract from one of is books and spoke to the children about where he finds inspiration for characters and storylines. Jack also took time to sign copies of books for the children. Staff and children all enjoyed the pirate themed day from the assembly with Jack Trelawny to the pirate themed activities in class.
